Description
A recognized health services organization in New York is looking to add a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Surgical team in Orange County. In this role, the Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) will be responsible for providing surgical assistance to a broad variety of surgeons, including OB/GYN, Urology and other surgical specialties.
Responsibilities:
The Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) will be responsible for:
- Initiating general surgery consultations
- Assisting in surgical procedures
- Performing rounds on a regular basis
- Providing cover call for the OB-GYN service line
- Handling other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as a Physician Assistant (PA) in a Hospital setting
- Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
- NYS Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA)
- ACLS and BLS certifications
Desired Skills:
- Robotics Surgery Department experience
