Description
A healthcare network in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) and/or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a great opportunity one of their Gastroenterology practices.
Responsibilities:
The Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for
- Managing Adult Gastroenterology patients with varying disease processes, including but not limited to GERD, IBD, bowel pattern changes, abdominal pain, and diseases related to the liver, pancreas, GI tract, and gallbladder
- Developing, implementing, and managing therapeutic treatment regimens in collaboration with the Gastroenterologists
- Initiating appropriate diagnostic tests to evaluate the patient's condition
- Assessing the findings and history, review of systems, physical examination, and diagnostic tests
- Performing complete history and physical examination
- Handling other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and/or Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) and/or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program
- NYS Physician Assistant (PA) and/or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- NCCPA certification or Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
