- Work Dates Needed: ASAP soon as credentialing is completed.
- Preferred Schedule: Varied shifts, 7a-7p; 7p-7a with call (beeper)
- Worksite Setting: Number of hospital beds/Peds beds: 17, Number of Peds ICU beds: 8 PICU beds
- Scope of Work: Pediatric Hospital Medicine
- Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible for 1 year, BLS, PALS, and NRP, COVID vaccine/exemption is required, & an active VA license.
- EMR:Meditech
Will locum providers respond to codes? Yes once the neonatal code coverage transitions over to the pediatric hospitalists
What procedures are required of locums? include lumbar punctures and simple incisions and drainage
What is the total census per provider during the day? census for a sole provider is up to 12. After 12 patients, a back-up physician is called in
How many of those are admissions during day? average number of admissions during the day is 5 to 6
How many admissions per night, on average? average number of admissions during the night is 3 to 4.
