Description
A healthcare company on Long Island is currently looking to add a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Women's Health team in Suffolk County.
About the Opportunity:
- Setting: Outpatient
- Schedule: 4 to 5 days a week
- Patient Population: 3 to 4 per hour
Responsibilities:
The Women's Health NP / PA will:
- Conduct initial assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, etc.
- Provide pregnancy confirmation and gynecological care to patients
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient encounters
- Educate patients and their families about preventive care, healthy lifestyle choices, and disease management
- Diagnose and treat common gynecological conditions
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the Supervising Physician
- Administer medications, order and interpret laboratory tests, and perform procedures within the scope of practice and under physician supervision
- Provide patient education on reproductive health, and contraception
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Computer savvy
- Microsoft Office proficient
Desired Skills:
- Family planning and/or Women's Health background
