Physician / ObGyn / California / Locum or Permanent / OB/GYN Physician Job

A growing health services company in California is currently seeking a licensed OB/GYN Physician to join one of their facilities in Los Angeles. In this role, the OB/GYN Physician will be responsible for provide general care to women, including services relating to pregnancy or childbirth as well as treating, testing, diagnosing and monitoring diseases.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 5pm
• Call: Shared telephonic on the weekends and evenings
• EMR: ECW
• Setting: Clinic
• Patient Population: Adults (primarily) & Adolescents
• Patient Volume: 18 to 22 per day

Responsibilities:

The OB/GYN Physician will:

• Provide direct patient care for OB/GYN clinic patients
• Examine, diagnose, and prescribe treatment for patients
• Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management
• Function appropriately as part of care delivery team through efficient use of resources and skills
• Chart in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope
• Utilize quality improvement tools to promote continuous improvement in the delivery of patient care, outcomes and workflows
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in OB/GYN specialty area.
• Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.) and/or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited School of Medicine
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of California
• Board Eligible / Certified OB/GYN
• BLS certification
