Description
A health services network in California is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing Pediatric team in Los Angeles.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm
- Setting: Outpatient
- Patient Population: Underserved
Responsibilities:
The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for:
- Working with patients from infancy through adolescence
- Communicating with young patients who may not yet be adept at expressing their needs as well as their families
- Providing emotional support and psychologically preparing children for procedures, from simple vaccines to complicated surgeries
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- CA Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Experience working with the Pediatric population
Desired Skills:
- Master's Degree
- Experience working within a Community Health setting and/or Federally Qualified Health Center (FHQC)
- Previous experience working with Low Income population
