A New York City-based medical services organization is looking to add a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to their team in Queens.

About the Opportunity:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: 6+ months
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: Standard business (two late nights a week)

Responsibilities:

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) will be responsible for:

  • Participating in treatment planning by providing medication management interventions and/or concrete services, such as crisis services and recommendations for referrals to outside agencies/providers
  • Prescribing medications, including Long-Acting Injectable Anti-Psychotics (LAI’s)
  • Providing consultations to the clinical staff and prescriber as needed
  • Conferring and consulting with members of the Treatment team (including the clinician, clinical supervisor, prescriber, and other professional and technical personnel) in implementing a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Participating in reviewing and signing the psychosocial intakes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, no case made form, and other pertinent chart documentation on the Care Logic EHR
  • Maintaining consistent communication with the treatment team, leadership team and other staff via use of technology (Bleuler email, Carelogic email & Alerts, Teams, Voicemails)
  • Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as a  Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • NYS Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) license
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Patient oriented
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
Desired Skills:
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent
