Excellent opportunity for a full-time Board eligible/certified emergency medicine, family medicine or internal medicine physician to cover 2 Urgent Care centers - Mission Hills (more shifts here) & Valencia. These are full service urgent care facilities that see high volume and high acuity.
- The UC facilities are open 7-days per week (9-9 on weekdays and 9-6 on weekends).
- Shifts are 12-hours on weekdays and 10-hours on weekends.
- There is also a back-up call system in-place with stipend.
- Our urgent care centers are not stand-alone facilities but are housed in our regular clinical facilities. Urgent care providers work as part of the care team, partnering with in-house primary care, medical specialists, surgeons (general/specialists), pediatrics, hospitalists, and referral specialists to facilitate continuity of care.
- Our facilities are generally very busy (physicians average 25-35 patients per shift), but there is a triage system and numerous standing protocols to facilitate patient flow.
- Epic EMR system.
- Overall, the group’s patient population is split about 50/50 between managed care and FFS.

Compensation & Benefits:
We offer a very competitive salary and full benefit package that includes medical/dental, life & disability insurance, and a very generous retirement plan. We also recognize the need to balance work and family life, so our fulltime physicians are only scheduled 4½ days per week; and we also provide generous paid time off. In addition, in support of our goal to secure the long term strength of our organization, we offer our hardworking and clinically strong physicians the opportunity to become a shareholder of our group.
The salary range for this position is $254,000 to $346,000 depending on experience and training, and may include productivity, quality/service incentives, call pay, and extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position.
