Description
A health services network in New York is currently seeking a new, licensed Psychiatrist for a great opportunity with their team in Rockland County. In this role, the Psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
Responsibilities:
The Psychiatrist will:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations to diagnose mental disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescription of psychotropic medications
- Monitor and evaluate treatment results
- Provide psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy
- Educate patients and their families about mental illness and treatment options
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice Psychiatry in the State of New York
- Board Certified in Psychiatry
