Description

A recognized healthcare network in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Pediatric Cardiologist to join their growing team. In this role, the Pediatric Cardiologist will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing congenital and acquired heart conditions in pediatric patients.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8am to 5:30pm
  • Setting: Inpatient

Responsibilities:

The Pediatric Cardiologist will:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for children with heart conditions, considering the unique physiological and developmental aspects of pediatric patients
  • Prescribe and manage medications to control symptoms and improve cardiac function in pediatric patients
  • Perform or assist in interventional procedures, such as cardiac catheterization, to address certain cardiac abnormalities without the need for surgery
  • Work closely with Pediatric Cardiac Surgeons to plan and coordinate surgical interventions, when necessary
  • Educate patients and their families about the nature of the heart condition, treatment options, and the importance of follow-up care
  • Monitor patients during follow-up visits to assess their progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and address any emerging issues
  • Engage in research activities to advance the field of pediatric cardiology
  • Provide education and training to medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Provide emergency care and consultation for pediatric patients with acute cardiac issues
  • Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • Licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey
  • Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology
  • Transthoracic Echocardiograms experience
Desired Skills:
  • Fetal Echocardiograms experience
