Description
A health services network in New York is currently seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join one of their mental health clinics in Dutchess County. In this role, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) will be responsible for providing psych and neurological diagnostic services for clients, utilizing the contributions of mental health professionals.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday to Friday (2 to 3 days onsite)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Federally Qualified Health Center
Responsibilities:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) will:
Participate in the intake and screening process of patients
Provide medication management
Work to ensure continuity of service
Provide referral information to alternate placement facilities
Review intake and treatment plans and signs the record as required by regulations
Participate in in-service training
Participate in information-educational community activities to further community knowledge in the detection and prevention of psychiatric disorders
Act as a resource person for other staff in the areas of medicine, psychiatry and neurology
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry (NPP)
Board Certified
Desired Skills:
3+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Currently credentialed with Medicare and Medicaid
