NP / Gastroenterology / New York / Permanent / Gastroenterology NP / PA Job

A healthcare network in New York is looking to add a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their growing Gastroenterology team at one of their facilities in lower Westchester County. In this role, the Gastroenterology NP / PA will be responsible for managing Adult GI patients with varying disease processes, including GERD, IBD, bowel pattern changes, abdominal pain, and diseases related to the liver, pancreas, GI tract, and gallbladder.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage therapeutic treatment regimens
• Initiate appropriate diagnostic tests to evaluate the patient's condition
• Assess the findings and history, review of systems, physical examination, and diagnostic tests
• Perform complete history and physical examination
• Handle other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in a Gastroenterology role/setting
• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree
• Valid NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
• NCCPA certification and/or Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
• Solid assessment, clinical and documentation skills

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
