Description
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Medical Officer to support the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) out of Silver Spring, Maryland.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Ensuring proper disease diagnosis and qualification for study inclusion, assessment and monitoring.
*Conduct screening history and physical as well as clinical study follow up visits for participants.
*Consulting with patients as needed.
*Recommending and ordering tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition.
*Relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and tasks.
*Performing a variety of additional tasks to include protocol review, development, and staff education.
*Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to pass NACI for Level III.

Skills
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
*Must have a degree in medicine, either an MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) from an accredited school and current license/credentials to practice medicine.
*Must have an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Maryland in support of all clinical trials.
Must meet all credentialing requirements in accordance with Clinical Trial Monitoring of FDA Regulated Clinical Trials Policy (Command Policy Memorandum 2011-59), Army Regulation (AR) 40-68, Clinical Quality Management, issued 26 Feb 2004, WRAIR Command Policy Memorandum 2017-45, “Walter Reed Army Institute of Research Quality Policy,” and USAMRMC Command Policy 2010-07, “Licensure, Credentialing and Privileging (LCP)” issued 10 Mar 2015, or revisions thereof.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have 4+ years of experience.
