Description
Seeking a board certified Gastroenterologist to provide locums coverage for a practice located in eastern North Carolina. Fellowship training in Advanced Endoscopy is required. Locums provider should be proficient in EUS and ERCP.Coverage Needed
* 1 week per month starting in February-ongoing
* Monday-Friday 8a-5p Details Hospital privileges at a level 1 trauma center
Established practice with 5 experienced gastroenterologists and 1 Nurse Practitioner
Anticipated volume: 5-8 procedures per day
Procedures are typically Mon-Fri 8a-5p 4 procedure rooms Hospitalist handle admissions-GI team is a consult service GI Fellow takes first call 24 hours per day Some advanced GI night and weekend call when needed-can be done from home Procedures will include ERCP, EGD, Colonoscopy, and EUS State of the art outpatient endoscopy center and newly
renovated inpatient GI lab inclusive of 20 bays and 3 procedure rooms New high definition scopes and fluoroscopy equipment BLS and ACLS required Provider will not respond to codes Average inpatient census: 4 * Hospital covers the cost of travel, lodging and malpractice insurance.
