Augusta, Maine: We seek a skilled Occupational Medicine Physician to join and lead a busy outpatient practice as MEDICAL DIRECTOR. This group is operated by Maine’s newest hospital – an award-winning 190-bed regional medical center in the state capital city just 50 minutes from Portland. Join and lead a thriving Workplace Health team with several dedicated physicians and advanced practitioners plus experienced nurses, medical assistants and others, all enthusiastic about evidence-based occupational medicine. Enjoy a convenient weekday schedule (M-F, 8-5) with no call. This group performs commercial motor vehicle driver examinations, functioning as medical review officers, and supports various employee wellness and assistance programs. This team serves several State of Maine governmental organizations and provides consultations to State personnel. Workplace Health medical and nursing teams staff multiple industry site clinics, affording the staff a stimulating variety of work environments.

As Medical Director, your schedule will be 40% direct patient care and 60% administrative, staff development, and oversight of contracts. You should be ready to lead, train and inspire team members, demonstrate a willingness to collaborate, and be empathetic to staff and patients.
