VHS is looking for an OB/GYN Hospitalist for Hobbs, NM!
Program Details
- Program Start Date: TBD
- 12 or 24 Hour Shifts: 24
- Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes
- Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions: No
- Hospitalists Needed for First Assist: Yes
- First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: Hospitalists to Backup Midwives: TBD
- Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice: No
- Backup Available to the Hospitalists: ED & General Surgery.
Hospital Details
- NICU Level: II
- Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.):30 Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists(monthly): 30
- Estimated Patient Encounters for Hospitalists 15/day in clinic, 5/day in hospital
- MFM onsite: No
- Residency Program: No
- In-house Anesthesia: Yes, During the day. CNRA on call at night.
Hospital Unit Includes -
- Seven fully equipped labor and delivery rooms
- 15 private OB/GYN suites
- Two suites for cesarean sections
- A fully equipped nursery to care for premature babies, and relationships with regional neonatal intensive care units (NICU) so that we can quickly and efficiently arrange a transfer if specialized care is needed
- Couplet care that emphasizes bonding between mother and baby
- High-tech security for peace of mind
- 24/7 monitoring for mother and baby
