We are seeking a Locum Oncology/Hematology professional to contribute their expertise in a fulfilling environment. This role involves functioning as a crucial member of the clinical patient care team in an outpatient setting at a free-standing cancer center.
Job Details
Functions: Performs tasks and procedures aligned with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist
EMR: EPIC
Setting: Outpatient - Free-standing cancer center
Reason for Coverage: Physician retirement/relocations
Schedule:
4 or 5 days per week
8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Admin day or 1/2 day if needed
Call Schedule: 7 days of call, including one weekend (1 in 4 rotation)
Call Ratio: 1:4
Number of Physicians in Practice: 3 currently
Trauma Level: 3

Hematology: Approximately 20%
Oncology: Approximately 80%
Internal Medicine: N/A
Presence of Radiation Oncologists: Yes
Number of APPs Providing Coverage: 2 currently
Average Patients Per Day - Outpatient: 10-15
Average Patients Per Day - Hospital (Call/Rounding): Only when patients are admitted for inpatient chemo.
Qualifications
Board Certification: Required in BOTH Hematology and Oncology
State License: Preferred (Willing to accept providers needing to obtain)
CAQH Login and Password: Required at the time of offer
Training Requirements:
4 hours of unpaid EPIC training (Testing out is an option - 2 hours)
OT is after 40 hours
Work Week is Sunday - Saturday
