Description
Old Town, Maine: We invite a confident Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the medical staff of a thriving community health center just 10 minutes north of Bangor, Maine’s third largest city. This progressive practice is managed by the state’s largest FQHC / community health center system, with 1000 employees – including over 200 clinical providers – across 17 practice sites and service locations. Help fulfill their mission of providing comprehensive, high-quality care to all, regardless of life circumstance.

CONFIDENT NEW GRADUATES are encouraged to apply. This is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Join an excellent team of providers offering mostly URGENT CARE with some unscheduled “walk-in” primary care for patients of all ages. Common procedures include suturing, splinting, incision and drainage of abscesses, removal of soft tissue foreign bodies, closed reduction of simple fractures and dislocations, etc. Enjoy a convenient full-time schedule of 3 12-hour shifts per week. Have an interesting, challenging and rewarding practice in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Become part of the respected 25+ member clinical team in this popular multispecialty practice that provides primary care, dental care, chiropractic services, podiatry, physical therapy, mental health care and more to some 10,000 area residents. This modern facility has fully integrated electronic medical records, and an on-site lab, imaging, and pharmacy.

You will earn a guaranteed salary (with regularly scheduled increases) along with benefits including paid relocation assistance, paid federal liability insurance, health and dental insurance, generous paid time off, a budget for your CME – and assistance with your medical education debt.

The neighboring town of Orono, between Bangor and Old Town, is home to the flagship campus of the University of Maine, with over 10,000 full time students and an abundance of cultural and collegiate sporting events including NCAA Division I football, soccer, basketball, baseball and hockey.

Bangor is a historic riverside community with over 100,000 people, where the median age is just 40. The city offers an international airport, shopping malls and theatres, dozens of restaurants, a wonderful children’s museum, a symphony orchestra, a casino/hotel, summer concerts and annual music festivals on the riverfront, and much more. Superb public schools, family-friendly neighborhoods and a low crime rate are just some of the reasons Bangor is rated as one of the best cities in the US in which to raise a family. Enjoy the amenities of a good-sized metro area without the hassle.
