JOB OVERVIEW - Profession: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

- Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 5x 8hr shifts or 4x 10hr shifts (8hr shifts preferred)
PATIENT INFORMATION - Patient Demographics: Pediatrics (PEDS – 18yrs), and Adults
- Patient Volume/Census: 15-30 patients per day
- Case Mix: General Anesthesia (Bread and Butter)
FACILITY INFORMATION - No. of Beds in Department: 283 beds
- EMR System: Epic
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE - Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days (60 days with SC license, 90 days without)
REQUIRED PROCEDURES - General Anesthesia (Bread and Butter)
- No cardiac, neuro, or OB procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Licenses: Active SC license (will consider licensing)
- Board: Board Certified – NBCRNA
- Certifications: NBCRNA, BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience; clean malpractice history
- Other Qualifications: No local providers within 60 miles; must be out of training; clean malpractice history
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide anesthesia care for general surgery cases under medical direction
- Care for pediatric patients (ages up to 18 years) and adult patients
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and formulate anesthetic plans
- Administer anesthesia, monitor patients intraoperatively, and manage post-anesthesia emergence
- Document patient encounters and anesthesia records in the Epic EMR system
