Description Facility in Williamsport, PA seeking Trauma Surgery APP locums coverage Rates: $Orientation $150/hr, Day shift $150/hr, Night shift $160/hr Opportunity Highlights Schedule: Mix of Days (7a–7p) and Nights (7p–7a), Monday–Sunday. No Call: This is an inpatient-only coverage role; no off-site call is required. Commitment: Approximately 8–10 shifts per month. Clinical Volume: Average census of 20 patients per day; ~5 admissions per day and 2–5 per night. EMR: Epic. Support: Work in tandem with Trauma/Acute Care Surgeons. Staffed with 2 APPs during the day and 1 at night. On-site specialties include IR, Ortho Trauma, Neurosurgery, and CT Surgery. Key Responsibilities & Procedures Typical Day: AM rounds, followed by OR first-assisting, managing new EGS consults, and critical care management. Surgical Cases: Cholecystectomy, appendectomy, trauma ex-lap, colon resections, and hernia repairs. (No bariatric or foregut). Bedside Procedures: Candidates must be able to perform: Central line placement Chest tube placement I&Ds and Laceration repairs Wound debridement Requirements Credential: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery. Board Status: Board Certified is required. Licensure: Active Pennsylvania State License and CSR are required to apply. Certifications: Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS are required. Note: IMLC candidates will not be considered.
