HHSC Health and Specialty
Care System is comprised of the State Hospitals which provide person-centered, recovery-oriented inpatient psychiatric treatment for long and short term commitments. In addition, the state supported living centers provide residential services that support individual choice and promote dignity and independence for people with intellectual and physical disabilities. Each facility employs between 800 and 1,400 people in positions that include:Physicians
